In science we learned about the planets. They all vary in many ways, and Earth is the only planet found with life.
There are four inner planets. They are made of rocky materials.
There are also four outer planets. They are made of gases, and ice.
We learned that in total there are eight planets, and many have been explored for their mysteries.
The galaxy has many stars, and other non-planets. Pluto used to be considered a planet, but scientists said that it was to small.
There are four types of reproduction. It is how all living organisms are made.
The first type of reproduction is Asexual. There is only one parent, and the offering are often in groups.
The second type of reproduction is Sexual reproduction. A sperm cell enters an egg, and fertilizes it.
The third type of reproduction is Budding. A bud grows on a parent, and eventually it becomes an identical offspring.
The fourth kind of reproduction is Seeding. A seed from a flower falls, and other plants grow.
We learned about cells. They are the smallest living things that make up organisms.
The first type of cell is a plant cell. They have chloroplasts that make their food, and give plants their green color.
The second type of cell is an animal cell. They have larger vacuoles, and are rounded.
Cells duplicate by a process called mitosis, and all look the same.
Some animals only have one cell. They are called uni-cellular organisms.
One of the last thing we learned about was gravity, and surface area. Everything has gravity, and surface area.
Gravity is the attraction between two objects. An example is an apple falling to the ground.
Gravity is what keeps us on Earth, and when we jump it's why fall.
Surface area is what factors in on how fast something falls.
The more surface area something has the slower it falls. A crumpled paper falls faster than a flat sheet of paper.
